3. Use the selection tool to select the rectangle just drawn, press and hold the CTRL key, and drag the rectangle to the left with the mouse. When a rectangle box that is the same as the original rectangle appears on the screen, hold the left key and press the right key, that is, another rectangle that is the same as the original rectangle appears on the left

4. Put a processed picture in the box on the right, and add the company information text in the lower part of the box on the left. Form a card pattern

5. Select all objects on the card and press ctrl+g or arrange group items under the menu. Group each object to make it an object. To facilitate the operation of subsequent projects

Select both rectangles, select alignment and distribution in the arrangement menu, and check the horizontal item on the right and the vertical item in the pop-up dialog box to align the positions of the two rectangles

8. After the previous step, the right sides of the two rectangles are close together, but we require a distance of 5mm, so it needs to be adjusted. If it is adjusted manually, its position is not accurate enough. Select the selection tool. When no object is selected, adjust the fine-tuning distance on the attribute toolbar to 5mm, then select the 526 x 777mm rectangular box, and click the left arrow. This rectangular box is separated by 5mm from the other rectangular box, so that there is also a 5mm bleeding position on the right side of the paper

9. Because the finished size of the card is 120 x 175mm after folding in half, plus the bleeding position, the unfolded full size of the design draft is 250 x 185mm. Now we are going to put the cards on paper. Select the cards that have been grouped, then select the inner box on the paper, select the alignment and distribution in the arrangement menu, check the horizontal item on the left, and check the vertical item on the top to align the card with the upper left corner of the inner box; Select the card, copy and paste it, and then adjust the rotation value to 180 in the attribute bar to turn it over so that the pattern parts of the two cards are opposite; Adjust the fine-tuning distance to 250mm, select the card pasted, click the right arrow, and the two cards will become a pattern to pattern arrangement. This method is called head to head patchwork

due to the relationship between temperature and humidity, the paper will often stretch and deform during printing. In order to minimize the inaccurate overprint caused by this reason, we should try to put the parts with complex patterns or colors close to the bite position. After the first line above is lined up, then call the deformation option in the arrangement menu. In the pop-up dialog box, set the vertical distance to the card height value of 185mm. Because we want to shift it downward, we need to set it to -185mm. Then select two cards and press apply to the reproduction object. after the completion of the printing process, each printed matter must be divided into finished products. For example, in the above example, after the completion of printing, it must be divided into eight finished cards. It's impossible to cut with scissors when dividing. We need to go out with another template. Of course, in general printing plants, you don't need to make a knife mold by yourself. You just need to draw the knife mold line, and then send it to the knife mold factory. The knife mold factory will make the knife plate, and then take it back to the beer machine to press it, and then remove the paper edge and stack it neatly, and you can deliver it to the customer

the drawing of the knife mold line is completed on the basis of the printing plate. In fact, it is to draw the line of the actual size of the finished product on a page containing bleeding position (without filling in the color). Now let's start the drawing of the knife mold line:

1. The size of the finished card set above is 120 x 175mm after folding in half, and 250 x 185mm after expanding (including bleeding)

2. Draw a rectangle with the rectangle tool, with the size of 239 x 175mm. Select the rectangle, then select the card in the upper left corner of the printing plate, press the C key to align vertically, press the e key to align horizontally, and the rectangle is in the center of the card. Adjust the fine-tuning distance value to 0.5mm, select the rectangle just drawn, and click the right arrow to move it to the right by 0.5mm (because the rectangle has been reduced, if it does not move to the right by 0.5mm, there will be bleeding of 5.5mm on both sides, but our goal is to have bleeding of 5mm on the right and 6mm on the left). Select the Bezier curve tool, draw a line with a vertical height of 175mm, align it vertically in the middle to the right of the rectangle, adjust the fine-tuning value to 120mm, select the vertical line, click the left arrow, and the vertical line will divide the rectangle into 120mm on the right and 119mm on the left,. Here, the front side is marked as 120mm, and the back side is set as 119mm, because I'm afraid that the back side will exceed the front side due to inaccurate overprinting after beer pressing on the beer machine. After reducing mm, I won't worry that the finished product will have exposed back (that is, the paper on the back can be seen from the front of the card surface) defects

3. Because both film production and plate making belong to the work of the plate room, the prepress operation is over. (the bleeding set here is 5mm at the top and bottom, which adds up to a total of 10mm bleeding. This is because the printing of large sheets of paper should take into account that the paper may stretch and deform due to temperature and humidity, resulting in inaccurate positioning of overprinting or cutting. 3mm bleeding is only when there is no way, and it is generally better to use 5mm.
